About GCSEHelp
Why we're building this
GCSEs put pressure on the whole family, not just the student. Parents and guardians want to help but often don't know where to start. Students feel overwhelmed but don't know how to break revision into something manageable. And in Wales, most revision tools aren't built for the curriculum their school actually follows.
We started GCSEHelp because we wanted something that didn't exist — a simple, calm revision tool that gives parents and guardians a clear weekly plan and students ten minutes of focused daily practice, all aligned to the WJEC specification.
We believe revision doesn't have to mean hours at a desk. It means short, consistent effort with clear guidance for both sides of the family.

How it works
The model is simple: a weekly plan tells parents and guardians what's happening, and ten minutes of daily practice keeps students moving forward.
Each week, parents and guardians see a clear plan of what topics are covered and what the student will practise.
Students complete a short session — five to ten questions with immediate feedback and worked solutions.
Parents and guardians see a summary of what was completed, where the student got stuck, and what comes next.
Our principles
- Calm.
- No gamification, no leaderboards, no shame. Revision should feel manageable, not competitive.
- Honest.
- We tell you what the tool does and doesn't do. We don't pretend it replaces a teacher.
- Specific.
- Everything is aligned to the WJEC specification. No generic content dressed up as exam prep.
- Realistic.
- Short, focused sessions that build consistent habits — not hours of slogging for minimal gain. Learning works better when it fits around a life, not the other way round.
- Safe.
- Every question is reviewed by a person before publication. Content can be recalled immediately if there's a problem.
